Stratford as a location is ideal. It's the ticketing and design that's the problem - not the location.

64,

So you didn't like the Boleyn either? Come to think of it, have we ever actually had a ground in West Ham?

Build a wall at Plaistow and shoot any yokels that try and sneak in from Essex and Kent.

There's no way we'd have got land there for what we'd want to pay vs all the property developers who have built huge blocks of flats on most of it.

Ridiculous. There is only ONE place for West Ham and that is West Ham

You'll just make yourself unhappy dreaming about stuff that will never happen.

Just walked past Ercan's. Looks like there'd be room for one in that plot behind there?

Re: If West Ham had a new Stadium where best cited
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. When London was granted the 2012 Olympics in 2005 most of the industrial area of Stratford was flattened. You would have thought someone from West Ham or Newham Council could have spotted the opportunity or the foresight for a purpose built 50k stadium to be built there. Typical West Ham though we do everything on the cheap and rely on hand outs.

The current site of the London Stadium is ideal great transport links and plenty of places to eat and drink but, it ain't Upton Park/Boleyn and I still miss it.

Just by Thorpe Park.

If the match has gone well, we can all go and ride rollecoasters afterwards.

If it goes badly, we can chuck outselves in the lake?

Stratford.

Can we have a moan up about season tickets not going up next season now?

No investor will pay the asking price for the hotpoint plus the club; I would guess that price the club around the £750m mark, similar to what the Glazer's paid for Man U.

Re: If West Ham had a new Stadium where best cited
The best place for the stadium is exactly where it is - in the lower Lea Valley

In a purpose-built football stadium rather than white elephant we're stuck with...

When an Arab, Chinaman or Yank buys the club they can build us a new ground and a 30,000 capacity athletics stadium...Which should have been built on the old warm up track
